Children’s charity benefits from Beechwood Mazda’s coffee and cake event

Derby-based Beechwood Mazda has raised £500 for children’s charity Max Appeal during a special charity coffee and cake day. The event was held in celebration of Beechwood Mazda being named the UK’s best Mazda dealer for customer service.

In Mazda UK’s Customer Satisfaction Index, the Siddals Road dealership achieved an incredible score of 98.2%, making it the top dealership in the country for customer service. Mazda UK also named Beechwood Mazda staff member Chris Bryan as Aftersales Manager of the Year, for the excellent levels of service he offers customers.

This recognition continues Beechwood Mazda’s ongoing success in customer care, after the dealership was accredited with the Mazda UK Exceptional Service Award and shortlisted for the Excellence in Customer Service Award at the automotive industry’s ‘2017 AM Awards’.

To celebrate the dealership’s achievements and thank customers for their support, Rob Wood, Managing Director of Beechwood Mazda, hosted a coffee and cake event to raise funds for Max Appeal, a charity that supports children with DiGeorge syndrome. The chosen charity was suggested by Fiona Ross, a loyal Mazda customer and supporter of the Max Appeal.

Max Appeal provides tailored support to families affected by a common, but relatively unknown, genetic disorder called 22q11DS. DiGeorge syndrome affects people in many ways, including congenital heart defects, speech and language problems and mental health issues. Beechwood Mazda chose to sponsor the self-funded charity after hearing how Fiona, whose son Dominic has the disorder, personally benefits from the excellent support and services it provides.

Rob Wood, Managing Director at Beechwood Mazda said, “Max Appeal is such a brilliant charity that is very close to our hearts, so we’re really pleased that we can help towards its good work with the money that we have raised. Michelle Hollinshead, a local baker and customer of ours, very kindly donated cakes from her family-run bakery, Cameo Cupcakes, and even our staff got involved, baking cakes at home for everyone to enjoy. I want to thank my staff for their fantastic help and I hope our customers enjoyed the cakes as much as we did!”
